"To seek donors to fund lion research and conservation projects underway or planned in Africa."

Research projects with Zoos nationwide including assessing the affect different diets have on Lions, plus provide educational lectures to the public about lion research and conservation efforts.

Currently funded until 1999 when research will expand following new leads/results.
Note: Zoo research will support this effort. Zoos throughout the US will
change the diet of lions to see what kind of effect diet has on manes.

- 4.1 Identifying inbred lion prides in Africa and possible consequences.
- 4.2 Tracing lions dead for thousands of years back to the cat family tree.
